When will PheedLoop Go 2.0 be available?

New events created starting in April 2026 will automatically use PheedLoop Go 2.0 by default.

Event Transition & Timeline

What happens to events already set up in the current PheedLoop Go! app?

Existing events happening before July 1, 2026 will remain on the current version of the app and will continue functioning exactly as they do today.

Can I choose which version of the app my event uses?

Existing events will stay on their current version of PheedLoop Go!. Newly created events (starting April 2026) will default to PheedLoop Go 2.0.

How can I update my existing event to the new version?

If you’d like to update an existing event, please reach out to support@pheedloop.com and a member of the Customer Success team would be happy to make the update for you.

When should I update my existing event to the new version?

We generally recommend updating your event at least a few weeks before you plan on sharing the app with your attendees. This will allow you enough time to test and familiarize yourself with the new app before sharing it.

What if I created my event before April 2026, but the event date is after July 1, 2026?

Existing events will be automatically updated on July 1st. If your existing event is scheduled for after July 1, 2026, we recommend contacting support@pheedloop.com in advance so our team can assist with transitioning your event to the new version and ensure a smooth attendee experience.

Will there be any downtime during the transition?

No, the transition is designed to be seamless, with no downtime for your events or attendees.

Will attendees with the old PheedLoop Go! app still be able to access my event?

Yes, app settings will remain in sync between versions. Attendees who still have the older app installed will still be able to access your event as expected, though the design and layout of the app will differ.

App Store & Download

Will attendees need to download a new app?

Yes, events using PheedLoop Go 2.0 will require attendees to download the new app titled PheedLoop Go 2.0 from the App Store or Google Play.

What is happening to the current PheedLoop Go! app?

The current PheedLoop Go! app will remain available as the legacy version during the transition period, and will be removed from app stores on July 1, 2026.

Why will there be two PheedLoop apps in the app store?

During the transition period, both the current PheedLoop Go! (for existing events) and PheedLoop Go 2.0 (for newly created events) will be available. This ensures that existing events continue to run without disruption while new events use the updated app experience.

Which app should my attendees download?

Attendees should download the app specified in your event communications. Existing events may continue using PheedLoop Go!, while newly created events will use PheedLoop Go 2.0 starting in April 2026.

What happens if an attendee downloads the wrong app?

If your event has been updated to the new version, PheedLoop Go! will have clear messaging recommending PheedLoop Go 2.0, with a quick link to easily download it.

Will the PheedLoop Go! app still work?

Yes, PheedLoop Go! will continue to function throughout the transition period and support events already using the current version.

Features & Functionality

What improvements will attendees notice?

Attendees will experience faster load times, smoother navigation, a cleaner, more modern interface, and improved accessibility.

Are any features being removed in PheedLoop Go 2.0?

Session Check-In and Ticket Scanning have been moved to the PheedLoop Onsite app, which is accessible to account Team Members and designated staff. This ensures that PheedLoop Go 2.0 remains Attendee, Speaker, Sponsor, & Exhibitor focused, while PheedLoop Onsite is used by the event organizers.

Is the app easier for first-time attendees to use?

Yes, the redesigned navigation and interface were built to be more intuitive, reducing the learning curve for new users.

Will my event setup or app configuration change?

Yes, your existing app configurations, branding, and settings will remain intact and will carry over where applicable.

Is the backend or Event Dashboard changing?

No, the Event Dashboard and event setup workflow remain the same. PheedLoop Go 2.0 only updates the mobile app experience.

Does this affect integrations (Stripe, SSO, virtual portal, etc.)?

No, existing integrations and connected services will continue functioning as they do currently.

How do I log in to the new version of PheedLoop Go 2.0?

Our magic link system has been enhanced to take attendees directly from their email to the correct event, without needing to search. If needed, attendees can still locate their event by entering the event code, event name, or custom event URL, and then log in using their existing credentials.

Can I still add my logo to the home page of the app?

The event logo is no longer displayed directly on the home page. Instead, a Home Banner Image can be used, allowing for a fully customized graphic with as much or as little information as desired.

White Label Apps

Does this affect white label apps?

Most white label apps are already powered by the new architecture behind PheedLoop Go 2.0 and have been running in production without disruption. All new white label apps will be created using the PheedLoop Go 2.0 version.

Will my branded event app need to be resubmitted to app stores?

Since the new architecture has already been powering white label apps, most customers will not require additional action. If your event is after July 1, 2026, and your white label app is not using the PheedLoop Go 2.0 version, please reach out to support@pheedloop.com.

If I have a container app, will it need to be updated?

Yes, the current PheedLoop Go! architecture will reach end of life on July 1, 2026, and legacy container apps built on this architecture will no longer be supported beyond that date. Any future updates, maintenance, or enhancements will require migrating your organization container app to the new version powered by the PheedLoop Go 2.0 architecture. We recommend planning your migration in advance to ensure continued support, compatibility, and access to future improvements.
